Canoeing: Pronunciation: \kə-ˈnü\
to go or travel in a canoe
Canoeing is a fun means of recreation, sport, and transportation. This activity takes a lot of strength and aerobic endurance. Canoeing refers to using paddles to propel a canoe forward with solely muscle power (a great way to build upper body strength!)
Canoeing is a fun activity for children; as long as they wear a reliable life jacket. Many local beaches offer canoeing lessons or clubs that your child can join.
MomsTeam's goal is to provide comprehensive information on canoeing: advice on the equipment needed and how to buy it, a primer on the rules of the sport, and videos and advice from experts, parents, and manufacturers of canoeing gear.
But to do that we are going to need your help. If you are a parent of a child who canoes or has canoed, we hope you will share what you have learned with other MomsTeam parents. Please consider writing a blog, contributing an article, posting on and/or hosting a Forum, or becoming a canoeing expert. If you know of someone who used to play or coach canoeing who has knowledge to share, ask him or her to join. Together we can make MomsTeam a true community of sports parents!
