But why does it not have full range of motion yet and as strong as it should be??

I have asked Dr. Johnson, our orthopedic expert, for an answer to your question, which hopefully, we will be able to post soon.

ACL

Hi,

I am a physical therapist and athletic trainer.   Getting your range of motion back generally needs to occur within the first 8 weeks after surgery.  After that scar tissue and joint stiffness makes it quite difficult.  Your lack of normal range of motion could have been caused by scar tissue (some people just heal fast).  It could also have been caused by the placement of the ACL itself.  Lack of quad girth is very common after surgery.  It is not uncommon to develop other issues such as patella femoral syndrome after surgery.

Good luck.
