National Sports Concussion Summit
The Sports Concussion Institute, located in Los Angeles California, will hold the yearly National Sports Concussion Summit April 18th-19th to continue the advancement of awareness, research, education, treatment protocol, and scientific evidence around the issue of concussion. Leading medical experts, organization leaders and sports regulators from around the nation will present and discuss various sports related issues around this widely discussed topic.
Brooke will talk about the Critical Role of Parents: putting coaches and parents on the same page. Other presenters include; Julian Bailes, MD, Robert Cantu, MD, Mark Lovell, MD, NFL and numerous other luminaries in their fields . Presentations will include; Gender and its Relationship to Concussion, Advancing Health and Safety Outcomes Among Youth, High School, Collegiate and Elite Athlete Populations, Helmet Standards in Reducing Concussion Morbidity, Members of the NFL Medical Committee will also be presenting updated information on current programs and preventative efforts.
The daylong event features several sessions and speeches by noted sports agent Leigh Steinberg and NFL Hall of Fame Legend Warren Moon.
