Has anyone ever felt a need to create an organized way to pray for the team? As much as a parent can do and control, there are many aspects to our children in sports that we have to let go of, and trust someone/Someone outside ourselves. I'd be interested in hearing from those of you who would like to learn more about an idea that has worked for us.
No offense, but...
Unless your child is on a religious sponsored team, not everyone may want to pray. Some folks don't like public prayer and some just don't believe the same things you do. Introducing group prayers may do nothing more than introduce another potential area of conflict among the parents and the kids.

Thanks so much for your reply. I agree, and perhaps was too vague in my question. My project is a private prayer journal- for a parent or coach to use as a tool to pray for team members. So often we get wrapped up in our own child's performance that we forget the importance of the needs of the teammates and the longterm relationships. The journal is something private, but an organized way to keep a balance on the season. Is this appealing?
