Dr. Bruce Thomas

Dr. Bruce ThomasDr. Bruce Thomas is a specialist in Primary Care Sports Medicine. His expertise is in the non-operative care of musculoskeletal problems, ranging from the youth gymnast to the elite professional athlete to  patients of any age simply wanting to remain active.

Since 2007, Dr. Thomas has been the Medical Director of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), providing medical coverage for LPGA Tour events as well as directing the care of these women athletes worldwide.  He also serves as a medical consultant to the Golf Channel.

Dr. Thomas is currently a Senior Medical Consultant to the Washington Nationals baseball team, following a four year stint as the Head Team Physician of the Nationals/Montreal Expos. Prior to that time he was a member of the medical staff of the Florida Marlins for nine years, receiving a World Series ring with the Marlins in 1997.

Dr. Thomas served as team physician for the Olympic baseball team for the People's Republic of China at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He was physician for the 1996 Australian Olympic Baseball team, the 1997 USA Baseball Team, and also for the 2006 and 2009 World Baseball Classic games held in Japan.  (Read more)
