My daughters are in multiple events. They run distance/middle distance. They like to have water and an apple in between. They do not drink sports drinks and they say they feel better for it.

anyone have ideas ? I have a fourteen year old who has always been active, but thin. She has annual check-ups with her doctor. She is healthy. She only weighs about85lbs is 5ft 3. I am very conscience of her diet. We eat right; fruits, veggies, nuts, meat(about four to five times a week). Not alot of sugar, occasionally a gummy bear. She does not loose weight ,but she is always hungry. She can eat as much as any teenage boy. Should I worry or just keep the fruits and nuts handy?
You mention that your daughter is active. How active is she? She may need more calories to fuel her sports. Many parents with concerns like yours send their child to school with 2-3 apples or bananas which do a great job of helping kids feel full

Hi Nicole,
