With 2 of my kids in basketball I need to buy a few pairs of shoes for each season and camps; it's getting crazy. I search the web for deals, search for coupons, and trying to find free shipping. If my kids didn't beat their shoes too bad, at the end of the season they put their shoes on ebay or Craig’s list and people actually buy them! I try to find sites that specialize in discount sports equipment but it has to be quality so my kids approve. My youngest actually suggested checking out this site at cheap-basketball-shoes.com which really surprised me because he's usually all about getting the best and newest things. The site doesn't actually sell the shoes but they just review products and tell you were to buy them for the best price. Otherwise I recently learned to always try to find coupon codes at sites like couponcabin or retailmenot. In the best case scenario, I first find a site that has free shipping and free returns, then I find sale items, then I search for coupon codes. Sometimes I save up to 60% of the original price. What are some of the sites that you all use for basketball equipment and shoes? My boys are on my case about new shoes for summer camp. Please help!
I've had success at
I've had success at eastbay.com. They always have shoes on sale, maybe not the biggest or brightest, but usually some pretty good prices. Try to keep instilling in your kids that it's the player and not the shoes. I'm in my 40's and I cannot ever remember paying more than $50 for a pair of basketball shoes. Funny part is basketball shoes were about $40-$60 30 years ago. Now, the high end ones are $100 plus, but you can still find some good shoes under $50. Be careful using used shoes. Kids break in shoes just like a baseball glove, Using someone elses shoes may cause some foot problems for your kid that, in the long run could cost you more at a foot doctor.
starbury and bigben shoes
I know this comment would be a little late, but better late than never... I just came across these shoes of NBA stars like Stephon Marbury and Ben Wallace, they are really cheap. I think it's their idea to come up with an inexpensive shoes so that others who can't afford signature shoes would still have a chance to get a pretty good looking and cheap shoes for basketball and other sports. You can search "starbury" or "bigben" and you'll definitely get search results for these shoes. Andy
