Dr. Jim MacDonald, a clinical professor at Ohio State and pediatric sports medicine specialist at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, says that youth sports coaches are key to injury prevention, and says organizations need to a better job of getting high school and youth coaches to "buy into" injury prevention, through increased education about prevention techniques, such as neuromuscular training (e.g. FIFA 11), physical follow-up to see that they are using techniquess, and web-based monitoring.
