Stuffed Fun Balls Due to Lead Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Manufacturer:Regent Products Corp., River Grove, IL
Hazard:The stuffed balls contain lead paint, which is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Incidents / Injuries:None reported.
Description:The Fun Ball is an orange stuffed ball toy that measures 4 inches in diameter and designed to look like a basketball. The ball is printed with colored numbers, letters and "Reg. #PA-10623(HK)."
Sold at:Dollar stores and other discount stores nationwide from June, 2006 through March, 2007 for about $1
Manufactured in:China
Remedy:Consumers should take these balls away from young children immediately and return the toy to the store where purchased for a refund.
