Concord, Mass. (June 11, 2014). MomsTeam.com® CEO/Publisher Brooke de Lench announced today that FieldTurf has joined MomsTeam as a sponsor.
The inventor of the "long pile" artificial turf system, FieldTurf is the global market leader in synthetic sports fields with more than 5,000 FieldTurf fields installed in North America alone. It is a part of Tarkett Sports, the world's largest entity in the sports and landscape surfacing industries, which manufactures a myriad of performance sports flooring products, including synthetic and hardwood basketball, volleyball and gymnasium flooring; squash and racquetball courts; and the Beynon brand of high-performance indoor and outdoor running tracks.
Of the 32 teams in the National Football League, 22 have selected FieldTurf for their game and/or practice fields. FieldTurf is also the Official Playing Surface of USA Football. At the college level, 100 NCAA football teams play on FieldTurf, with FieldTurf set to be installed at historic Notre Dame Stadium this summer.
As a tangible demonstration of its commitment to the safety of synthetic turf playing surfaces, FieldTurf has partnered with Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences to develop the world's first facility dedicated to sports surface research, with a five-year commitment that will center around research on synthetic turf, running tracks and indoor sports surfaces. The research collaboration is expected to further accelerate safety within the synthetic sports surfacing industry.
"MomsTeam is excited to team up with FieldTurf as a sponsor," said de Lench, "and we look forward to working with FieldTurf to provide sports parents, independent youth sports organizations, and school sports programs with accurate, objective information about artificial turf, particularly with respect to safety issues."
