Girls Upend Boys In Va. State Golf Tournaments

October 22, 2002 - Jenny Suh of Chantilly and Diana Meza of Goochland won Group AAA and A state championships in Virginia, not only raising eyebrows but also furrowing a few brows. Some boys said they thought if girls were entered in the same tournament, they should have to play from the same tees. The current rule allows girls to play the course 80% as long as the boys.
